These terms apply to thesakalya.com, operated by The Sakalya, New Delhi, India (“we”, “us”). By using the website, creating an account, registering for a programme or submitting a form, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older, or have a parent’s or guardian’s consent as described in our Privacy Policy.
Give accurate details and keep them up to date. One person, one account.
Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Registrations and mentor applications are reviewed by our team, and we may decline them.
3. Campus to Corporate (students)
Campus to Corporate is a mentorship and development programme, usually about 12 weeks, run by The Sakalya with mentors from industry.
It does not guarantee a job, internship, placement, salary or any other outcome. Progress depends largely on your own effort.
You agree to answer forms honestly, attend agreed sessions or tell your mentor in good time if you can’t, and work on the actions you agree.
Mentors share their personal experience and opinion. Their guidance is not professional legal, financial, medical or psychological advice.
We may pause, reassign or close a mentorship — for example if a mentor becomes unavailable, or if these terms are not followed — and we will tell you why.
Information you share is seen by your mentor and our team as described in the Privacy Policy. Please don’t share other people’s confidential or sensitive information.
4. For mentors
You agree to treat everything students share as confidential, and to use it only to mentor them.
Keep the relationship professional. Don’t ask students for money, personal favours or contact outside the programme beyond what is needed for sessions, and never discriminate, harass or pressure a student.
Record sessions, reviews and evaluations honestly and fairly. Your final evaluation and recommendation appear on the student’s report card.
Tell us promptly about any safeguarding concern or conflict of interest. Your mentor role does not make you an employee or agent of The Sakalya.
5. Report cards and certificates
A Final Report Card and, where awarded, a Certificate of Completion are issued at our discretion once a journey is complete and the final evaluation has been reviewed by our team.
A certificate confirms that you completed the programme. It is not an academic degree, diploma or professional licence.
We may correct and reissue a document. We may withdraw a certificate if it was obtained by false information or if it is misused; a withdrawn certificate shows as withdrawn when checked.
Don’t alter certificates or report cards, or present them as something they are not.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
post or send anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory or misleading;
impersonate anyone, or use someone else’s account;
upload malware, try to break or bypass security, scrape the site, or overload it;
use the website or programmes to advertise, recruit for unrelated purposes or collect other users’ data.
We may remove content and limit or close accounts that break these rules.
7. Content you share
You keep ownership of blog posts, comments and other content you submit.
You give The Sakalya a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, edit for length or clarity, and share that content on our website and channels for as long as it is published.
Blog posts are reviewed before publication; we may decline or remove any post or comment.
We use your feedback as a testimonial only if you agreed, and only with the credit you chose.
Only submit content you have the right to share.
8. Our content
The Sakalya name and logo, programme materials, forms, text, designs and images on this website belong to The Sakalya or its licensors. You may view and print pages for personal use, but please don’t copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.
9. Training engagements
Information about programmes on this website is a general description. Training we deliver for organisations — including POSH, POCSO, DEI and leadership programmes — is governed by the proposal or agreement signed for that engagement. If it conflicts with these terms, the signed agreement applies.
10. Disclaimers and liability
We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
Links and embedded videos from other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
To the extent the law allows, The Sakalya is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on guidance received through the website or a mentorship. Our total liability for any claim relating to the website is limited to the amount, if any, you paid us for the service concerned.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
11. Suspension and closure
You can stop using the website or ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or end a mentorship, if these terms are broken, if required by law, or to protect students, mentors or the service. Records we need to keep are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we will notify registered users of significant changes. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction.
